Quality Matters Program Giving Kids, Families, and Providers a Strong Start

In partnership with other agencies and members of the community, First 5 of Santa Clara County is making great strides with its QUALITY MATTERS...A STRONG START program.

Last Wednesday, October 18, they held their second Family Child Care Home providers QIP-COP (Quality Improvement Plan - Community of Practice). At the meeting, several dozen early learning educators were present, and had the opportunity to delve into various activities and conversations around supporting the social interaction, development, and creativity of children.

This meeting is held monthly to help educators to bring high quality practices to the table, when working with children and families.

The next meeting is happening in November:

QUALITY MATTERS Consortium Meeting
Thursday, November 1 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Community Room, 4000 Moorpark Ave, San Jose, CA 95117

As First 5 is one of the partners that we collaborate and work with in the community, all in an effort to better serve children and families, we'll be sharing more information and resources involving their organization in the coming weeks.
