What is the 4Cs Child Care Food Program?
The Child Care Food Program (CCFP) has been established by the federal government to help ensure that children receive nutritious, well balance meals while in day care. This program is for licensed day care providers and day care providers who are registered through the 4Cs Trustline program.
How will children benefit?
Infants, toddlers, pre-school and school age children will develop good eating habits, strong bodies, good teeth, and alert minds. Children will also learn about nutrition and be able to participate in nutrition activities.
How will you benefit?
You will be reimbursed monthly for serving children in your care meals and snacks that meet USDA requirements. You will receive assistance wtih menu planning and nutrition education. You will also receive a quarterly newsletter that contains program updates, nutrition information, recipes, and activities for children and providers. Please note:
- The amount of reimbursement depends on the meals claimed for each child
- The reimbursement rate for each meal or snack is modified annually
- The 4Cs' Food Program can inform you of the current rate
