Health
and Safety/CPR Training Reimbursement
The 4C Council is reimbursing child care providers who successfully complete
health and safety training classes as much as $65 per person. Each person
must pay a minimum co-pay of $5.00 for each training segment.
Eligible
individuals include:
- The staff
of a licensed family child care home
- The staff
of a licensed center
- License-exempt
providers
- In-home
providers
Training
Reimbursements
Reimbursements are available to those who complete training during the
period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. This includes both initial
training and renewal courses. Please note; Funds are limited and are available
on first come-first serve basis. Funding is provided through the California
Department of Education.
- Applications
will be processed in the order received with priority given to the licensee
of a family day care home and one staff person from a center.
- Additional
staff applications from a center or family day care home will be processed
if funding is available.
Training
courses include:
- Pediatric
CPR
- First
Aid
- Prevention
of infectious disease and injury
- Preventive
health practices
The CPR/First
Aid Training program must be issued by the American Red Cross or American
Heart Association or EMSA approved.
