Child Care Initiative Program

Child Care Initiative Program
The 4C Council participates in the Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP), which is a grant funded by the California Department of Education. It is designed to recruit, train and retain Santa Clara County family child care providers.

The path to becoming a licensed Family Child Care Provider is simple, and we can help you reach this goal. Just Follow this Licensing Path. If you are interested in joining this FREE program, please fill out the Participant Form.

Potential recruits would include:

  • People looking to start their own family child care business
  • Newly licensed family child care providers
  • Licensed providers willing to increase to a large license
  • Licensed providers willing to add services for infants and toddlers
  • Licensed providers willing to add nontraditional hours of care to their existing hours of operation

The Child Care Initiative Project will provide:

  • Ongoing support to become licensed
  • Assistance with setting up a family child care business
  • Technical assistance and one-on-one consultations
  • Pre-Licensing home visits
  • Free training
  • Incentives to become licensed or increase their license capacity

For more information on the CCIP project contact the 4C council CCIP Coordinator (408 487-0747).
