Care Initiative Program
- The 4C Council program is designed to recruit,
retain and train Santa Clara County family child care providers.

- The California Child Care Initiative Project
(CCIP) is designed to increase the supply of licensed, quality child
care. Developed by BankAmerica Foundation, and funded by a statewide
and local public-private partnership, the program recruits and trains
family child care providers to help meet the great demand for child
care services.

Child Care (BCC)
The Building Child Care Project exists to provide
a centralized clearinghouse of information and services designed to
improve child care providers' access to financial resources for facilities
development projects in California.

Growing
Ideas Tip Sheets
Growing Ideas Tip Sheets are designed to provide
basic topical information on essential early childhood topics, while
at the same time pointing the reader to some of the best sources of
relevant extended information. Topics include: developmentally appropriate
practice, inclusive early childhood education, universal design in early
childhood education, assessment basics, social-emotional development,
guidance for social skill development, behavior communicates and more.
The tip sheets are in color, available for free, and can be accessed
in PDF or text only formats.
The development of the tip sheets was made possible by a collaboration
of The University of Maine Center for Community Inclusion and Disability
Studies and Coastal Alliance for Children’s Care Education and
Supporting Services (ACCESS).

The Community Care Licensing Division of the
California Department of Social Services oversees the licensing of all
child care facilities in California.

The National Women's Law Center, together with partner child care advocates, is excited to announce its 2008 Tax Credits Outreach Campaign. The Tax Credits Outreach Campaign will inform families about federal and state tax credits that can put thousands of dollars in their pockets.

for the Education of Young Children)
CAEYC's Professional Development Academy was
created to meet the training and technical assistance needs of early
education teachers and providers, program administrators, and parents.
The Academy offers opportunities for professional growth for early care
professionals around the state. The Academy's workshops, seminars, institutes,
online learning forums, and publication subscriptions provide information
on early childhood topics.

The Inclusion Collaborative leads the effort

learning environment. Its focus is the successful inclusion of children

Infant
Family Mental Health Collaborative of Santa Clara County Resource List
This Collaborative was established in January,
2001 through the efforts of a group of individuals who found that there
were limited and uncoordinated services for infants, toddlers, children
and their families who were in crisis, or at-risk. This Collaborative
has identified resources, consultation and training to integrate aspects
of Infant Family Mental Health into their programs and community in
order to help children develop strong, healthy bonds and relationships
which are central to a child’s overall development.
