Such training must be taken from either the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association or a training program approved by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA). As a result of your training, you should be issued a Pediatric Basic Life Support card or a Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation card. Also required is proof and documentation of your completed training in preventive health practices. The 4C Council reimburses Licensed and Exempt from Licensing Child Care Providers who successfully complete Pediatric CPR, Pediatric First Aid or approved classes in Preventative Health Practices.
